Assuming you have the wrench and an Glock mag, you can DIY a bufferless 9mm AR for only $465. I recommend the right side charging if you plan to use a folding stock. The charging handle on the left side is getting in the way of my triangle brace being able to fold all the way to the left. You should be able to use any milspec AR-9 lower with this upper. As always it might be a good idea to use the BCA upper and lower in this post to avoid possible variables. But this should work with your current PSA, AERO, etc AR-9 milspec lower (assuming it was built to spec)

So my pre-1988 Taurus model 66 project is nearly complete. New set of OD Green grips from MBT. Got to say I've fallen in love with these grips. They feel great and it gets my hand in just the right spot on the Taurus. The hammer spring was swapped out for a lighter 11 pound spring from Wolff Springs. The trigger return spring was also lightened up with a 10 pounder from Wolff as well. The trigger pull now is light and quite nice. The RMSc optic plate came in Friday. Why an RMSc footprint? RMSc pattern optics tend to have a shorter or lower optic height. So I opted for that to keep things as low as possible on the Taurus. The plate did require some minor fitting. The optic is an Ohhunt RD U1 3 MOA Red Dot, which came in today. Personally, I would have preferred a larger 6 MOA dot. But it is what it is and it works. Took it out to the range for a bit. Four cylinders, 24 rounds of 158gn 357 were fired. The optic held up nicely so far. No flicker could be seen. Last piece I'm waiting on ...
