Copper jacket 20.4gr. Combined retained weight 61.6 gr. Water penetration approx. 13 inches.

My initial thoughts:
Value = Good. More affordable than many FMJ.
Penetration = Barely acceptable for self defense and may be lacking for hunting medium large game. However, may be desirable for close quarters self defense within a house or apartment where over penetration is a concern.
Expansion = Fair. Slight lead expansion and jacket expansion.
Weight retention = Poor. Complete jacket separation.
Packaging = Good. With a negative on the size of the box making it hard to store in ammo cans.
Made in the USA = Awesome!
The obvious question.... Is the Sabre black tip a Hornady bullet? I'm not sure. The jacket seems to be a bit thicker than a Hornady V-MAX but thinner than a Hornady SST. I will try to find out if this is an in house AAC bullet or if it has been contracted from another maker.
